The University of Miami opened its doors to club field hockey in 2003. Since then, the club has established solid foundations on which it continues to build.
A member of the Florida Field Hockey Association (FFHA), the UM 'Canes shall participate in the Inaugural Sunshine State 7's League that is scheduled to commence in the Spring of '09.
The UM 'Canes FHC competes in various FFHA and USA Field Hockey (USAFH) events.
